GALOPITA (GREEK DESSERT)

1 1/2 qts. milk (heat until butter melts)
3/4 c. sugar
2 lbs. butter
Add 1 cup farina and stir until thickens. Set aside to cool. Beat 8 eggs, then add to farina batter. Mix well. Bake in 9 x 16 inch pan, greased, 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cut into squares while warm, pour syrup over cake, and sprinkle with cinnamon. You may add cherry to each square for decorative look.

SYRUP:
2 c. water
1 c. sugar

Boil 1/2 hour.
